Programming & Software Engineering Services

Essential Qualifications/Experience:

·       Education

ü  Degree in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited Education establishment

·       Experience

ü  5+ years developing customer-facing applications

ü  Proven experience in testing software

ü  Work in a military environment is considered an advantage

·       Technical Skills

ü  Python (expert)

ü  HTML/PHP/CSS, Javascript, VBA (working level)

ü  MAVEN development is considered an advantage

DUTIES/ROLE:

·       Modifying/updating Python scripts to develop them as standalone tools

·       Reviewing/revising Python code to bring it to industry standards

·       Implementing the best strategy to bring the tool to the end user. Possible methods to be explored depending on the tool: webservice, email, standalone software tool, NATO MAVEN Smart Systems (MSS), or other as proposed by the incumbent. Dependent on the solution chosen, coding VBA, MSS, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, etc. will be required

·       Delivering and monitoring tools for use by Operators

·       Liaising with NCIA and AIRCOM A6 to ensure cyber security protocols are met and respected. Advocating for changes in cyber security-related processes as required

·       Delivery of the tools to the end user will be varying, but surges will be required to support the AIRCOM exercise schedule as tools will need to be delivered for use ahead of exercises (May and October 2026, undefined for 2027)
