Engineer (CIS security)

Essential Qualifications/Experience:

·       Knowledge of the principles of computer and communication security, networking, and the vulnerabilities of modern operating systems and applications.

·       Knowledge of and proven experience with linux OS, infrastructure as code and automation tools

·       Knowledge of security technologies and solutions specific to hybrid-cloud, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and On-Premise DMZ capabilities

·       Experience with Cyber Hygiene and the Critical Security Controls for effective cyber defence.

·       Practical hands-on experience with systems administration.

·       Ability to investigate and analyse complex scenarios and solve problems in innovative ways

·       Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly and successfully articulate complex issues to a variety of audiences and teams

DUTIES/ROLE:

·       Provide support for project implementation, and delivery of infrastructure security solutions

·       Ensure the stability and performance of deployed systems, services and applications post-implementation, through continuous monitoring and addressing any emerging issues in a timely manner

·       Apply approved security configurations (hardening settings), and continuously maintain the security posture of the infrastructure elements

·       Contribute to remediation of CIS security findings for infrastructure elements

·       Plan, deploy, and configure a variety of hardware, software, and security products

·       Perform other duties as may be required
