Essential Qualifications/Experience:

·       Strong hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting solutions within the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment

·       Proven experience with AWS core services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Route 53, and AWS Backup

·        Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK

·       Knowledge of cloud networking, security architectures, identity and access management, and data protection best practices

·       Experience implementing high-availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions

·       Proficiency in automation and scripting

·       Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using tools such as Azure DevOps

·       Understanding of containerisation technologies including Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes/EKS

·       Experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimising cloud infrastructure performance and costs

·       Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

·       Ability to work independently and engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

DUTIES/ROLE:

·       Design and implement AWS cloud solutions to support business applications and services

·       Build, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles

·       Lead or support cloud migration projects from on-premises or legacy environments to AWS

·       Implement and maintain cloud security controls, access management, encryption, and compliance requirements

·       Monitor cloud environments to ensure availability, performance, reliability, and cost efficiency

·       Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure incidents and service issues

·       Develop automation scripts and deployment pipelines to improve operational efficiency and consistency

·       Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and business teams to deliver cloud-based solutions

·       Produce and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and support guides

·       Conduct reviews and recommend improvements to cloud architecture, security posture, resilience, and operational processes

·       Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation activities

·       Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to internal teams where required

·       Stay informed of AWS best practices, emerging technologies, and service updates to ensure continuous improvement
