Cloud engineer

Essential Qualifications/Experience:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering

·       Experience managing IT projects acting as Project Manager, preferably using Agile principlesFour to eight years’ experience in a Cloud Engineer role or related position

·       Experience with Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) and Active Directory Federation Services (AFDS), PKI, OU structures and Group Policies, DNS, DHCP

·       Experience with VMWare ESX and VCF

·       Experience working with Linux/UNIX, Docker, and Microsoft Azure

·       Working Knowledge of web services, API, REST, and RPC

·       Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks

DUTIES/ROLE:

·       Working with the IT team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the organization

·       Supporting the planning, designing, and developing on-prem and cloud-based applications

·       Managing the on-prem infrastructure and the cloud environment in accordance with the organization’s security guidelines

·       Leading and developing best practices for the cloud and systems engineering team

·       Supervise the execution of standard system administration duties, on prem and in the cloud, including server installation, System/Application installation and patch management, Windows and Linux problem determination and resolution, log analysis

·       Orchestrating and automating on-prem and cloud-based platforms throughout the organization

·       Defining project plans and backlogs, monitoring project execution, reporting

·       Implement day-to-day team management by application of Agile principles, organize daily standups
