Engineer (Cloud and Web)

Essential Qualifications/Experience:

·       Experience with Web Hosting solutions (like SharePoint, Apache, Oracle Web Logic) on prem and on cloud

·       Experience with Amazon AWS cloud Azure environments (IaaS and PaaS services)

·       Experience with Azure VMs, virtual networks, Load Balancers and Azure monitor

·       Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)

·       Must have excellent spoken and written English communication and presentation skills, as demonstrated by recent experience (within the past 5 years)

·       Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with users, team members and stakeholders

·       Must demonstrate the ability and self-motivation to work on his/her own but must also work well within groups as part of a team

·       Must demonstrate an ability and keen sense for problem-solving

·       Motivated, good communication skills, team player

·       Able to work independently with minimal supervision

·       Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization

DUTIES/ROLE:

·       Administer, configure enterprise-wide cloud environments (MS Azure or AWS)

·       Provide Level 2/3 support for cloud related issues, investigating and resolving operational problems in a timely manner

·       Provision and maintain VMs, Storage (on cloud), and Web Hosting environments (on prem and on cloud) ensuring high availability and performance

·       Manage and optimize cloud components and web hosting environment

·       Automate the deployment and management of AWS or Azure resources using Terraform, or similar tools

·       Develop scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate routine tasks, such as instance management, backups, and scaling

·       Perform other duties, as may be required
