EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Essential Qualifications/Experience:

·         3+ years of professional experience in maintaining data management systems

·         Experience working with cloud systems

·         3+ years of professional experience with data storage systems from major vendors

·         Deep knowledge of backup storage systems from major vendors (Dell ISILON)

·         Proven knowledge of data transfer protocols

·         3+ years of professional experience with access control mechanisms

·         Proven knowledge of storage systems optimization techniques

·         Working experience with Linux Ubuntu, Red Hat, Windows OS

·         Mandatory: NPSC

·         A “fit for sea” certificate might be required

·         Demonstrated proficiency in English as defined in STANAG 6001 (Standardized Linguistic Profile (SLP) (Written and Oral). NATO: 3333

DUTIES/ROLE: 

·         Support the data management activities during experimentation campaign

·         Support the data management service by following SOP

·         Under supervision, collaborate with teams to support data integration and deployment processes

·         Collect statistics and KPIs and monitor the status and availability of data management systems addressing any issues related to storage, transfer and accessibility

·         Under supervision, facilitate data movement at different security classification levels

·         Implement and monitor data transfer processes, ensuring efficient data flow

·         Troubleshoot data transfer pipeline issues

·         Monitor and optimize data flows

·         May be required to perform duties onboard Centre or chartered vessels and/or to undertake TDY assignments
