EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Essential Qualifications/Experience:

·         Knowledge in the following:

ü  Configuration of LAN Network devices, including VOIP and VOSIP

ü  Support of back-end server infrastructure

ü  System administration of AD, DHCP, VMware and SCCM

·         2+ years practical experience of implementation and maintenance of ICT end systems within a large organization

·         Working knowledge of Local Area Networks (LAN) / Wide Area Networks (WAN) technologies, Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)/Internet protocol (IP) and standards

·         Good Working knowledge of system network troubleshooting techniques utilising complex and diverse test equipment and software tools

·         Advanced understanding of server and client technologies. Microsoft Active Directory implementations, Microsoft Exchange

·         Working experience troubleshooting technical issues and providing technical support to end-users.

·         Training/Certifications:

ü  Relevant certification in IT Service Management, such as ITIL 4 Foundation or other

ü  CISCO Accredited Training such as CCST

ü  CISCO Accredited Training such as CCNA (desirable)

 

DUTIES/ROLE: 

·         Software configuration

ü  Assists in designing, verifying, documenting, amending and refactoring moderately complex software configurations for deployment

ü  Applies agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result

ü  Collaborates in reviews of work with others as appropriate

·         System software

ü  Monitors operational systems for resource usage and failure rates, to inform and facilitate system software tuning

ü  Applies system software parameters to maximise throughput and efficiency

ü  Installs and tests new versions of system software

ü  Contributes to preparation of software implementation procedures with fall back contingency plans

·         Network support

ü  Contributes to the operational configuration of network components

ü  Assists in the investigation and resolution of network problems

ü  Assists with specified maintenance procedures

·         Systems installation and removal

ü  Installs or removes system components using supplied installation instructions and tools

ü  Conducts standard tests and contributes to investigations of problems and faults

ü  Confirms the correct working of installations

ü  Documents results in accordance with agreed procedures

·         Release and deployment

ü  Uses approved tools and techniques for specific deployment activities

ü  Administers the recording of activities, logging of results and documents technical activities undertaken
