EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Essential Qualifications/Experience:

·         A minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years post-related experience

·         Or exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate's particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post

·         2+ years' experience designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing collaboration tools and platforms within a digital ecosystem of an organization

·         Experience deploying communication and collaboration software (such as video conferencing systems, team messaging applications, and document sharing platforms)

·         Proven experience in the configuration and operation of Voice and VTC core systems and end devices

·         Proven experience in deployment and configuration of security features in the voice and VTC domains (TLS, PKI, IPSec, etc.)

·         Excellent troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to resolving QoS and technical issues in complex IP networks

·         Excellent knowledge of SIP, H.323 and PSTN signalling protocols

·         Good working knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies

·         Experience providing end users support

·         Certified ITIL Foundation

 

Desirable Qualifications/Experience:

·         Experience with collaboration solutions from major vendors like Cisco, Poly and Pexip

·         Qualification of Cisco Certified Network Professional Collaboration (CCNP Collaboration)

·         Experience with monitoring platforms and protocols such as CA Spectrum, nGenius One, SNMPv3, Syslog, etc.

·         Scripting experience ideally in Python and experience using regular expressions

·         Experience with cloud-based collaboration solutions like Microsoft Teams and Cisco Webex

·         Ability to navigate, influence and negotiate with all levels of the organization, business partners, customers and users

·         Strong communication skills and the ability to be concise in both written and verbal communications

·         Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements

·         Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including Allied Command Operations and Allied Command Transformation

 

DUTIES/ROLE: 

·         Perform service continuity improvement tasks on the NATO voice & VTC infrastructures

·         Support innovation efforts related to voice and video conferencing technology

·         Work with the project management team and provides technical support to projects to enhance and improve the existing infrastructure and services

·         Plan, test and carry out routine configuration and maintenance operations within the voice and VTC domains

·         Be prepared to support maintenance activities and infrastructure deployments during out of business hours

·         Coordinate and raise CRQs (change requests) and ASIs (authorised service interruptions) when needed

·         Responsible for the creation and maintenance of technical documentation (configuration baselines, engineering reports, network diagrams, etc.) and provide training for other team members on new technologies and features

·         Mentor and/or coach team members on new voice and VTC technologies or features

·         Investigate and propose long-term solutions to encountered equipment and configuration problems

·         Provide third level support to the operations team for both static and deployable voice and video conference infrastructures when needed

·         Deputize for higher-grade staff, if required

·         Perform other duties as may be required
